Ammoniums

Ammonium is a compound that contains one nitrogen atom and four hydrogen atoms (NH4+), derived from the reaction of ammonia with water. Ammonia is a neutral non-ionized molecule (weak base), a colorless gaseous compound with a pungent odor and highly soluble in water, formed by one nitrogen atom and three hydrogen atoms (NH3). It is used in fertilizers or in the production of plastics, pharmaceuticals, and other chemicals.
