Its main applications are: formulation of coating thinners, paint viscosity reducer and manufacturing of industrial cleaning products. It is an excellent solvent for resins, including nitrocellulose, epoxy, phenolic, acrylic and alkyd. It is widely used in the manufacture of printing inks.
