In the Oil & Gas industry it is used for the dehydration of natural gas. It is also used as an intermediate in the manufacture of polyester resins, polyethylene terephthalate and polyols for polyurethane, in obtaining soft resins from their esterification with resin acids, as a laminating agent and adhesives, in the manufacture of lacquers.
